Pravdoliub Ivanov (Bulgaria) »Path« – Installation
I had an idea, an image in my mind – I wanted to build a long, straight, narrow, wooden path into the forest. This idea came to me as connecting point of my fear of nature and a memory from my trip to Siberia. When flying over the Taiga I saw the Baikal-Amur Mainline. From height of 9,000 m that road continued beyond the horizon.
A lonely road connecting “nowhere” with “nowhere”.
So, even without direct connection between my fear and that memory, this was the inspiration for the project.
I imagine my “path” for the Darmstadt symposium as an wooden line going trough the forest. Its a narrow safety path for a person who would like to go deep into the forest on a lonely walk.
I am happy and lucky that there were people who trusted me and helped me to realize my idea. “Path” (“Steg”) is a bit more than 100 m long.
